Our Story
A Better Life Naturopathic Healthcare was established as a house-call general care practice in response to the growing need for safe, effective, and accessible healthcare during the escalating COVID-19 pandemic in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our practice was founded on the time-honored principles of medicine, reminiscent of a time when doctors made house calls, providing safe access to care for those who were ill or fearful of contracting the COVID-19 virus.
As our practice grew, so did the demand for more specialized care. Clients were grappling with chronic isolation and emerging symptoms of anxiety and depression. Incidences of substance abuse, domestic violence, and suicidal thoughts increased over the course of the pandemic lockdown. The stress of the pandemic also triggered past traumatic events, leading to disabling panic attacks, fear, and flashbacks. Our in-home visits provided a private and comfortable setting for clients to discuss, identify, and address these mental health concerns.
After years of relocating to accommodate education and careers, Dr. Branstetter and her husband David decided to settle down on the 40-acre Jericho Ranch in Perry, Kansas. This decision led to the relocation of her successful private practice to rural Kansas, carrying forward the model of doctor home visits. In addition, a clinic will be established on the scenic grounds of Jericho Ranch to cater to the needs of trauma survivors and those dealing with mental health issues requiring longer-term care and treatment.
